Swaddles, Snow, Sales, and Solids

It's time for more pictures!

We hope to wean Talia off her swaddle. Here she is with one arm out.

The one armed baby

We have also enjoyed several days of snow. Here are a few pictures of us in the snow. If you look closely, you can see snow falling.

Talia with the snow falling

Daddy and Talia on the snowy driveway

After one of our snows Sarah and Anna came over to see the snow (and hang out). We went on our canyon view walk. Much of the snow had melted, but it was still pretty. Sarah took this picture of our family.

Talia and Anna got to play. Here they are on our chair.

Talia began eating solids last week. Here she is getting set up for her first solids meal.

Getting ready for her first "big girl" meal

She is waiting patiently for us to get the video camera set up.

Talia's baby blues

We video taped her first bites. She got tired from sitting in her booster seat so I finished her last bites on my lap.

Talia's first solids

The next day we remembered to take pictures with the camera as she ate.

Mommy, you're not fast enough!

Before you read the next section, you really should watch this video.

Talia is a long girl. She is beginning to grow out of some of her 9 month clothes. We did not have much 12 month and 18 month clothes so we decided to buy some. Rather than spend a fortune we decided to buy clothes for Talia on eBay. Jon helped us buy 65 items of clothes for $31 shipped. The clothes ranged from well used to brand new with tags. Here are some of the clothes she received.

Here is Talia enjoying her box of clothes.

All this is for me!

Mommy is enjoying trying some of Talia's clothes on her (they run in size from 12 months to 24 months so most are too big, but that didn't stop Mommy from dressing her little doll).

Talia and Mommy like to goof off. Sometimes Daddy catches us in the act.

Talia has big, strong legs to help her stand.

Talia has been enjoying her rain forest from a new perspective.

Talia plays with her giraffe

Even though she has so many fun toys to explore, she still finds Daddy and Mommy pretty fascinating.

What's going on behind me?

And we find her to be the most fascinating of all!

Long Live Weird Al... and E-bay. Of course, I like the Weird Al original video better... but I am a snob that way. I hope Talia enjoys solid foods very well, and her new clothes even more. :)

Hi, Erin. I had a quick question for you. My camera recently died. What kind do you use? (I lost your e-mail or I would have e-mailed you.)

Mom,

She is definitely our little snuggle bug. Unfortunately she only wants to be held by Mommy or Daddy these days. Sometimes she is okay with others if we are within view and/or reach of her favorite people.

Nikki,

We looked at www.weirdal.com and he did not have a music video for the eBay song (at least one that we could watch online). We got a kick out of "The Drive Through." Talia seems to like rice cereal to a point. She is not fond of her booster seat (I think since it is hard and she has to work hard to remain upright) so she often finishes her meal supported on my lap. As to the clothes, it makes Mama happy so it should make everyone else happy!

Sarah,

We initially found the song on an eBayers product information page. Jon searched it on You Tube and found quite a few videos. I am glad you shared the fun with others :).

Claudia,

We use a Kodak EasyShare. We like it but it is a little older and only has 3.1 megapixels. Recent reviews suggest having 4 megapixels or more. I will try to e-mail you in the near future so you have my address.

Oooh! I check every day and there are no updates. I miss a few days and find that a post has been up for days!

Cheek, can you send me your PO box? I keep forgetting to bring it with me and have some stuff for Talia that I want to order for her!
